How the Best Month Finder works
Every country has a best month on paper, but the best month for you depends on what you trade: weather, crowds or price. This finder starts from the month-by-month scores in our When to Go guides and re-weights them with your answers. Where our data includes crowd and price levels for a country, they count too. You get your top three months, a twelve-month strip and the guide verdicts for that country.
Where the data comes from
Month scores (1-10) for all 24 countries; crowd and price indexes, sea temperature and month tags where the guide has them. Scores run from 1 to 10 and come from the month-by-month verdicts in the When to Go series. Where our data does not cover a figure, the tool says so: check official sources for that detail.
