How the Festival Month Matcher works

Some trips are built around one event. Pick a month and, if you like, a region: the matcher lists the festivals and events our guides record for that month, with their usual timing. Many festival dates move from one year to the next, so always confirm dates with the official organiser or tourist board before you book.

Where the data comes from

Event listings in our guides for 16 countries, and festival mentions in the month notes for the others. Scores run from 1 to 10 and come from the month-by-month verdicts in the When to Go series. Where our data does not cover a figure, the tool says so: check official sources for that detail.
