How the Is This a Bad Month to Go? works
Knowing when not to go saves more trips than knowing when to go. Pick a country and a month, tell us what would spoil the trip for you, and the checker reads that month against our guide data: the month score, the skip-if note, heat, rain days, crowds and prices. You get a plain verdict (good to go, go with care, or skip it), the reasons, the months to avoid in that country, and the closest better month.
Where the data comes from
Month scores (1-10), the skip-if notes and crowd notes from our When to Go guides, plus heat, rain-day, crowd and price figures where the guide has them. Scores run from 1 to 10 and come from the month-by-month verdicts in the When to Go series. Where our data does not cover a figure, the tool says so: check official sources for that detail.
